The Quartz Crystal sensor choice is determined by the application, which in turn dictates compatible feedthroughs and cabling. Additionally, the chamber specifications guide the appropriate feedthrough and flange selection, crucial for the air-to-vacuum connection between the sensor and the oscillator.

The feedthrough facilitates the transfer of quartz crystal’s piezoelectric vibrations to the oscillator via a short coaxial cable, where signals are conditioned and transmitted to the monitor.
